St Anne's Community Services

St Anne's was formed originally to work with people who were homeless and excluded. Our first service was shaped around what these people said they needed. This focus on service users being central to what we do and how we develop is core to what we do today.

From our small beginning in 1971, the organisation has grown and developed to become a major provider with a turnover of some £30m and employing approximately 1200 staff.

St Anne’s objectives are built around our mission statement which is "To offer quality support, care and housing services that promote independence, opportunity and inclusion."

We work with people who are or have been homeless, who have problems related to substance misuse - drugs and/or alcohol, who experience mental health problems or who have a learning disability. Of course a number of people we work with require support in relation to more than one of these areas and having a range of service provision enables us to be flexible in our response.

Our services include a variety of housing and accommodation based support, day services and community based support. St Anne's is a major provider of services in Yorkshire and the North East with services in Leeds, Sheffield, Kirklees, Calderdale, North Yorkshire, Wakefield, York, East Yorkshire, Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Durham, Seaham, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside.
