Full Description:

A leading London securities firm is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel with experience in a similar industry. The post-holder will work closely with the management team on a variety of contracts and provide legal guidance on a wide range of commercial, IP/IT, securities and company secretarial matters to support the existing MTF business and new products and services as they roll out. As the company is at the forefront of alternative trading in Europe they require legal guidance that is commercial, forward looking and geared towards problem solving. The role will involve: advising and drafting contracts to support new products and services; reviewing and negotiating MTF precedents and supplier contracts; drafting, maintaining and updating policies; and advising HR and Compliance in relation to employment and regulatory law issues. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years PQE and must have an understanding of the European securities industry, and the post-MiFID landscape and exchange infrastructure.
